I would like to take a moment to congratulate the firearm manufacturing industry, the gun lobbyists, the NRA and all those American citizens who measure the size of their penis by the size of their gun.
Thanks in no small part to your efforts we have just witnessed the largest mass shooting in American history. Your refusal to support sensible gun control laws outlawing assault rifles and extended clip magazines played a major roll in allowing a homegrown terrorist to murder at least 50 Americans and injure 200 more.
Although the nation will publically mourn this senseless loss of life, I expect that there will be little movement to take the tough steps necessary to solve the problem. To the contrary…I am quite certain that this latest carnage will result in a handsome spike in firearm sales and lobbying fees as more and more Americans “gear up” to protect themselves from themselves.
Nothing sells guns like a mass murder!
I won’t insult your intelligence by demanding stricter gun laws and universal background checks or bore you with the international facts about the correlation between violence and firearm proliferation. What would be the point. If the murder of 20 babies at the Sandy Hook Elementary school didn’t move you then certainly the slaughter of 250 party goers on the Vegas strip won’t either.
Rather than bitch or engage in some sanctimonious rant…I just want to congratulate you on your outstanding efforts in defending your anal obsession with firearms.
Today we all bear witness to the record setting result of your efforts.
