I just returned from a one week sabbatical during which I boycotted cable news. Returning to reality I tuned in only to discover that nothing had changed. The madman that lives in the White House was at it again.
Demonstrating his multi-tasking skills, the president spent the better part of the weekend alternately insulting a wide range of individuals both foreign and domestic. When he wasn’t calling members of the NFL and NBA sons of bitches for exercising their first amendment rights he was engaging the North Korean leader, “Little Rocket Man” in a reckless game of chicken over nuclear war. In his spare time he insulted and attempted to bribe members of his own party who refused to support his last ditch effort to pass a draconian health care bill.
Not once did he mention the 3.5 million Americans struggling to survive without food, water or power in devastated Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Race baiting, war mongering and political brinksmanship; just another weekend in the Trump asylum.
Crazy never rests.
