HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST!

Hear ye!  Hear ye!  His majesty the King summons all lords and ladies to attend him in court.  There to bend a knee in homage to his greatness and offer gratitude for the blessings he has bestowed upon all his subjects.

President Trump convened his first cabinet meeting.  What transpired can only be described as the most sickening display of self-aggrandizement in the history of the presidency.

His Majesty began the proceedings by informing the world that his presidency was the most active and productive administration in the history of the office.  Only FDR’s leadership through the Great Depression could compare.

Trump then asked everyone around the table to offer a few words.  In what to me was clearly a rehearsed spectacle; each of the sycophants in attendance sang the president’s praises and thanked Trump for the honor to serve under his leadership.  Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was perhaps the most effusive; thanking the president on behalf of the staff for the “honor and blessings” he had bestowed upon them.

“Oh come let us adore him!  Hosanna in the highest!”

Only Defense Secretary James Mattis kept his dignity in tact.  Rather than praise Trump, Mattis  thanked the men and women of the military whose service and sacrifice keep the nation safe.

The entire charade was a cringe worthy sh*t show reminiscent of some the contrived “suck up” videos we see coming out of Moscow and North Korea.

This is what anarchy looks like.  If you believe that I am exaggerating pull up the video and see for yourself.  One nauseating view is enough for me.

While the president was orchestrating this travesty in the White House, word from one of his closet friends is that the president is seriously considering firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller.  This hair brained idea stems from the president’s belief that the former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony exonerated the president from any wrong doing and therefore the investigation into all things Russia should be concluded.

No doubt the president is weighing the political fallout from firing Mueller versus the legal jeopardy he will be in should Mueller get to the bottom of his bromance with Russia.

Enter Trump surrogate Jefferson Beauregard Sessions into the maelstrom.  The White House’s resident elfin racist is scheduled to testify under oath before congress today.  Sessions is certain to be asked why he chose to lie about his meetings with Russian officials, why he was involved in Comey’s firing when he had recused himself from anything pertaining to the Russian investigation and why he colluded with Trump to lie originally about the reason Comey was fired.

I’m not sure why we would believe anything a man already facing perjury charges for lying under oath has to say.  Such are the ways of the King’s Court.

Trump biographer Tim O’Brien is one of the thousands of people Trump has sued over the years…and lost.  O’Brien, who has spent hours getting to know Trump says that the president follows along two certain paths:  the path of self-aggrandizement and the path of self-preservation. The former was on vivid display in the White House cabinet meeting.  The latter may well result in Robert Mueller’s dismissal.

Anyone who thinks that the prospect of Robert Mueller’s firing is a ridiculous notion with no basis in reality…

…hasn’t been paying attention.
