We know what “evil” looks like. It looks like the President of the United States.
Racism is evil. Donald Trump is a racist. We have known that Donald Trump is a racist since the day he came down that escalator and referred to Mexicans he had never met as “rapists.” Since that fateful day Donald Trump has reaffirmed his racism on numerous occasions. Whether it was claiming a judge of Mexican heritage could not be fair because of his lineage to banning Muslims from entering the country to claiming that white supremacists were “fine people;” Donald Trump has made his racist vires clear.
Just a few days ago he bemoaned Haitian refugees entering our country because “they have Aids” and noted that once immigrants from Nigeria come here and experience the U.S. “they will never return to their huts.” Yesterday, Trump unveiled his racist soul to us once again. While meeting with members of congress to craft a deal on immigration reform, a frustrated Trump lashed out: “Why do we want all these people from shithole countries coming here. Why do we need more Haitians? Take them out.” Senator Dick Durbin (D-Il.), who was in the room, confirmed the racial expletive.
A friend of mine is a rabid supporter of Donald Trump. He has told me many times that the main problem he has with Democrats is that they label as “evil” anyone who disagrees with their liberal views. At the risk of alienating my friend…Donald Trump is evil.
We the people of the United States of America agree that all men are created equal regardless of the color of their skin or the country of their origin. We the people of a country born on the backs of immigrants, have held as a cornerstone of our democracy that we welcome men and women of all races, colors and creeds to our shores. Racism is evil and we the citizens of this free nation vow that we will not tolerate racism in any form. This is a belief upon which we have built the greatest country in the world.
We know what evil looks like. Racism is evil. Donald Trump is a racist.
Donald Trump is an evil man whose racist views must not go unchallenged.
