WHY NOW?

What do Preet Bharara, Sally Yates and James Comey have in common?  They were all high ranking law enforcement officials who had the audacity to say “NO” to the King.

King Trump fired FBI Director James Comey yesterday.  If we are to believe the official story coming out of the White House; Comey was fired because of his mishandling of the investigation surrounding Hillary Clinton’s emails.

We do NOT believe that story.  Not for a minute.

Comey’s dismissal came on the heels of a recommendation from the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.  A man who was sworn in to his position barely two weeks ago.

The recommendation was signed off on by Rosenstein’s boss; Attorney General Jeff Sessions.  A man who due to a conflict of interest, recused himself from the ongoing investigations of Hillary Clinton and the possible links between the King Trump, his campaign and the Russian interference with the presidential elections.

Upon receiving the recommendation King Trump immediately fired Comey; ordering that a personal letter informing Comey be delivered to his DC office.

But Comey wasn’t in DC.  Comey was in Los Angeles addressing a group of FBI employees when a “Breaking News” story of Comey’s dismissal flashed across the television in the room where Comey was speaking.  At first Comey thought it was a prank before quickly learning that he was no longer the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.

Comey wasn’t fired because of his mishandling of the investigation into Clinton’s emails.  Comey missteps in that investigation occurred months ago.  They were well documented in the press.  Were that the reason behind the firing Trump could have made that call in the limo ride up Pennsylvania Avenue after he was sworn in.  In fact, then candidate Trump praised Comey during the campaign for the exact same actions he was citing for Comey’s dismissal.

So you have to ask:  “Why now?”  What change occurred to cause the King to respond in such a ham-fisted? Manner?

Comey was fired because the FBI investigation into King Trump’s links to Russia was closing in.  A grand jury had been impaneled, subpoenas were being issued, and witnesses were being called.  Comey couldn’t be controlled. Comey had to go.

So the King fired the head of the investigation that was looking into the King himself. The goal…to quash the most important investigation into the King’s activities.

The stench emanating from this series of events is nauseating.  If ever this investigation warranted the appointment of a special prosecutor it is now.

King Trump has raised the degree of his incompetence to a new level.

But this really isn’t about King Trump or James Comey.  This is about the Office of the President, the rule of law and the future of our democracy.

There is an anarchist living in the White House who is subverting the constitution.

Somewhere Vladimir Putin is smiling.
