WALLS CLOSING IN

You’re President of the United States.  Your personal attorney and long time friend calls to tell you that the FBI is at that moment raiding his house and business.  What do you do?

If you are a law abiding citizen with nothing to hide…you chill.  There is nothing in those files to be concerned about.  Your thoughts immediately turn to your friend, Michael Cohen.  You offer your condolences for his troubles and you let him know that you are there for him.  Maybe you even make a public statement to the press; praising his professionalism, relishing his long friendship and once again offering your support.  Then you go about the business of running the country.  After all there is a retaliatory military strike against Syria to plan.

But if you have something to hide…  something problematic that can no doubt be found in the files of your close friend and personal attorney who is at that very moment having his life ransacked by the FBI…then your reaction to the news is altogether different.  Your blood pressure skyrockets and bile rises up in your throat as the possibility of your dirty laundry being exposed becomes very real.  You lash out, ranting incoherently at everyone and anyone who has something or nothing to do with your predicament; aggrieved that seemingly everyone is against you.  As for your friend and personal attorney…you couldn’t care less about him because he as much as anyone is the cause of your discomfort.  In a panic you search for something, anything that might distract the always prying public from seeing your embarrassment.  You DO have that military strike to authorize!  Hmmm…

From the day Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Mueller investigation, Donald Trump has acted like a very guilty man.  Yesterday, more than ever, Donald Trump looked like a guilty man in a panic over what he knows is coming.

The walls are closing in on Donald Trump and he is behaving like a like a man with something to hide.
